Sometimes clamps can be so strong, they are hard to open and maneuver, but this size is great - super strong, yet not so strong where your fingers can't possibly open them.

Everyone needs some of these in their lighting kit. Essentially for any number of tasks. If placing on a light, careful that the rubber ends do not melt or catch on fire. The rubber is removable if it's a problem.

• I use this clamp to hold the seamless paper and prevent it from rolling out on itself. At times, the clamp has been used to hold sand-bags as counterweights to heavy umbrella/softboxes.
• The clamp grip is strong and can squish a grape tomato; source: (I tried it).

I purchased this clamp to hold backdrops to a frame. It appears to be of a sufficient size and strength to do the job, although I have not yet had a chance to use it, as the 2" clamp I purchased as a companion to the 1" clamp is too heavy.

These are great. Very strong. I've been using them to hold really heavy blankets and haven't had any issues. I used to use these clamps my husband gave me from his workshop...they never held tight at all. These are so inexpensive and worth it!

Works well to keep muslin in place or props! Good spring action and isn't so tight that you can't open and close it. It is petite enough to carry anywhere.

Comments about Adjustable Clamp Company Pony Spring "A" Clamp with Plastic Tips - 1":
These clamps were purchased for use in positioning a muslin backdrop on its mounting frame.
They work well but could be greatly improved by adding a curved face to the straight clamping face that would allow it to better clamp onto round pipe without slipping or getting loose.

Comments about Adjustable Clamp Company Pony Spring "A" Clamp with Plastic Tips - 1":
These clamps are small yet very strong. The U.S. Navy uses a slightly larger version of these for damage control and fire fighting applications which helps to demonstrate their quality. I used two of these to hold a backdrop up against a projector screen and it worked like a champ. Highly recommended.
