This is the second of these I've purchased. I bought one last year after using Hytron 140's, and am glad I did. Depending on what other attachments I have on the back of my camera, this battery can help give the weight necessary to keep a balanced shoulder shot without killing my back. However, if there isn't much on the back of my camera, I still like using the Hytron 140. This Dionic-90 put too much weight forward on my wrist because it is light weight. If you're on a tripod and don't care about weight, these are just as good as any other battery having an accurate reading and lasting the 4 hours.

We shoot mostly with Canon DSLR's in a variety of conditions for long periods of time. The Dionic-90 solved one of our biggest issues which was switching out batteries once the camera was set up on the rig with matt box and follow focus. It also allowed us to not have to pause in our production for anything much more than switching out cards.
We also use it to power long timelapse projects and don't ever have to worry about coming back to find the camera battery dead. The weight it adds to the rig is easily manageable, build quality is superb, battery life meter is very accurate.

We use these to power our JVC GY-HM700 ENG cameras. Like many of us, I used A/B Pro Pac Ni Cad "bricks" for years. The Dionic 90 has almost twice the watt/hours, yet is 1/3rd the weight...it's like it's not even there! The batteries are charged quite quickly using A/B Tandem chargers.

My only complaint is that after 2 years of daily ENG use, our Dionics began fading; runtimes started dwindling quickly. All of our batteries are now 2 1/2 to 3 years old, and are in need of replacement.

I guess that's understandable for a newer technology such as Li-Ion, and the fact that the Dionic 90's only come with a 1.5-year warranty. But it's hard for a small-market station like us to justify replacing batteries every 2-3 years, instead of 4-5 years for Hytron 100's of similar power and price. (And man those Hytrons are heavy!)

According to Anton/Bauer's website, all new Logic batteries come with a motion-activated "sleep mode" to help reduce self-discharging. This may increase the lifespan of newer Dionics, but our current batteries don't have that function.

The dionic 90 is a great battery that offers a nice balance between capacity and weight. On a Panasonic HPX 500, one of these batteries lasts about 3 hours, which means we can travel with fewer batteries. The LED indication on the side tells you how much juice you have left in a very easy to read display. Add an AB charger, and you've got very a reliable solution as they "intelligently communicate" while charging, which keeps the batteries in good shape and prolongs their life. They are expensive, which is a downside of course, but about the last thing you want to go cheap on, is how you power your camera.

We purchased these AND90 batteries to supplement the ones we got with our cameras. We went to do a 13 hour Video remote and really needed the extra power. The batteries were crucial for our our roving camera man to allow him to go anywhere he needed for as long as he needed to. We had several charging stations with us and sent one along with our camera man. The new batteries worked out great! The camera transmitted the signal without ever running out of power, and took "Live" shots all day.
The batteries gave us the power they said they would and I have no complaints.

This is a great battery that I use with my JVC. I was honestly expecting its life to be a bit longer, but it is still acceptable. I would recommend getting two!

We do a lot of run and gun shoots and portable reliable power has always been an issue. Until we picked up 4 of these. They power almost every piece of equipment we have.

I purchased the Dionic 90 batteries because I know from years as a camera man that the gold mount is the most professional grade battery you can have. On that front the battery has not disappointed. It has a hearty exterior and the LED readout is very is to understand. The light weight also lends itself well to a run and gun shoot. I will say however that I did not do my research when buying these batteries in regards to my Scarlet. On the Scarlet, these batteries only last 90 minutes max and on location that put me in a pinch. Mind you the battery had no extra accessories under it's power, just the camera. I would not recommend these batteries for run and gun shooting. And you'll need at least 4 on a constant charge rotation to keep moving during a 12 hour day. Not ideal to say the least. For Scarlet/EPIC owners, go for the bigger batteries. You won't regret spending the extra money.

I use this on my Sony PMW-320K and it lasts a very long time. Recently I went to a wedding and covered the entire reception with 1 and a half batteries! My old Canon batteries would never last this long, I definitely recommend this product.
