      Comments about Matthews Minigrip Head:

I purchased 8 of these grip heads (4 as part of a kit, and 4 extras) to use with my Matthews RoadRags II kit, as well as for general use.

They are working very well so far, nice and light but easily strong enough to hold the RoadRags flags in place. I'm using them mounted onto small compact Manfrotto light stands, either alone, with 20" rods, or with the mini-matthelini clamps.

I think you'd need to be a little careful how much load you put on them as some parts are plastic - but for my current use they are perfectly ok.

        Comments about Matthews Minigrip Head:

Matthews is excellent. Their products are usually solidly built and this grip-head is no exception. However, they made it out of plastic. It doesn't feel cheap but it's plastic. Not exactly what I would expect from Matthews. It does it's job but you'll not want to put too much weight on it.

          Comments about Matthews Minigrip Head:

Very light weight, yet strong enough for small lights, boom poles or monitor stands. Keep in mind they are plastic, but not the cheap stuff. I have 2 and use them to mount small LED lights and my boom. Great to travel with because they are small and light.

Mainly olastic, so a bit more expensive thanm I thought worth it. Functioned fine, but I would be carefull how much weight I put on it.

Perfect for smaller items - I use it together with a Boom Pole Holder. Very sturdy and still light weight. PLUS, the grips on set won't 'borrow' it from you to mount some 10Ks ;-) Recommended!

I use this for my boompole holder, on top of a C stand, or a good black stand. It's light & strong.
