The dPDB passive direct box from ART features two high-quality direct boxes in one portable enclosure. It is a roadworthy DI for connection of the outputs of electronic musical instruments (or other audio sources) to the balanced inputs of mixer consoles and other balanced inputs. It also allows for connection of a music source to an instrument amplifier while simultaneously patching it to a mixer.
The unit features switchable input attenuation, a 50k Ω instrument input, 50k Ω parallel link jack, a 600 Ω XLR output jack and a switchable ground lift. It excels at impedance matching and improving the sound of any instrument plugged into it. Enclosed in a rugged steel chassis, it is designed and manufactured to the highest standards to provide years of quiet, reliable performance.

Comments about ART dPDB Direct Injection Box:
Definitely worth the money, a little heavy, but works well.

Comments about ART dPDB Direct Injection Box:
No moving parts, no power required, converts a line level signal to microphone level, which is what we needed to take advantage of a microphone jack in the wall of a large room. We can now tap into the "house" system with any input device.
Simplicity itself.

Comments about ART dPDB Direct Injection Box:
I'm a bass player and switch between a Upright and Electric Bass during or gigs. And would get feed back from the Uprights piezo pickups. The two channels on the DPDB allows me to use the two thru bypass line outs to my A/B switch to send one line to my Amplifer and Two XLR sends to our PA Mixer. With a better quailty signal going to the Mixer we don't get the feed back. And it gives me a channel for each of my instruments in the mixer so we don't have to change the volume levels when I change from one instrument to the other.

Comments about ART dPDB Direct Injection Box:
I use it to connect my unbalanced computer audio output to my mixer's balanced input. I own the ART PDB single-channel direct box and like how it performs in my application. I'm most interested in ground loop elimination besides converting to a balanced signal. I assumed the dual channel model would be otherwise identical. Much to my dismay, the dual-channel model passes much more 60Hz hum in comparison. Oh well. This was the most inexpensive option available to me, and I simply lost out. Otherwise, it passes audio well enough for me.

Comments about ART dPDB Direct Injection Box:
Picked up two keyboards' output out to the PA. No battery or phantom powering needed. One less source of feedback.
