Comments about Celestron Power Tank (12-Volt, 7-Amp Power Supply):
The power tank has worked reliably and eliminated the need for replacing batteries for the telescope and accessories. I can get two or three nights out of it before recharging. The other nifty feature is that one can jump an automobile if need be! All in all a great tool for a telescope power supply. The RED flashlight is handy, although a bit bright. Used the powertank to charge our cell phones when power was lost in the house The charge holds up well and I have found it to be trouble free.

Comments about Celestron Power Tank (12-Volt, 7-Amp Power Supply):
We were having problems with our Celestron NexStar telescope. We wondered if the problem was inadequate power. We ordered this power tank. The tank works great and it fixed the problems we were having with the telescope.

Comments about Celestron Power Tank (12-Volt, 7-Amp Power Supply):
This is a must have for computerized telescopes. Without this running my 6SE would have been very costly, as it requires 8 AA batteries. They have to be alkaline (@ 1.5v each), rechargeable batteries (@ 1.2v each) are not powerful enough (total 12v required for 6SE). I use AA even when I am using this power tank. If for any reason the power tank gets disconnected I do not lose any of my settings or sky-alignment. The scope only uses batteries when power tank is not connected.I did find the charging lights on this to be very misleading. Fully charged light comes on within two hours of charging, whereas charging can take up to 15 hours. However, I let it charge for 15 hours despite the misleading lights and in operation there have been no issues. I get many hours of viewing on a single charge.

Comments about Celestron Power Tank (12-Volt, 7-Amp Power Supply):
We just received this and will use this with our Celestron telescope. It is necessary for operation away from house power because operation with AA cells is not reliable for more than several hours use. This unit adds reliability and eliminates battery changing.
The unit came with a defective adapter cord plug, but Celestron readily agreed to replace it.
I would recommend this.

Runs the Orion Sirius mount all night long.
2 lights - one with LEDs and one with regular bulb, which has a red filter on a strap. Very convinient for camping also.

Comments about Celestron Power Tank (12-Volt, 7-Amp Power Supply):
I use the power tank as the power supply for my Meade 10" telescope. It is especially useful when I have a large crowd looking through the scope because I can position it under the tripod. When I run a power line from my car there is always the danger of someone tripping over it. The large light is useful at the end of the observing session when I generally scan the ground looking for stuff that I may have left behind. The Power Tank is a handsome, solid, and well thought out product.

Comments about Celestron Power Tank (12-Volt, 7-Amp Power Supply):
This is a versatile and very inexpensive power tank. I was able to use it out of the box with only a few hours charge and it worked well for about 6 hours of stargazing and never lost charge. Absolutely a must have for anyone who does astrophotography.

Since i charged up my scope, i use it 4 times for approximately 3 hours each, and the scope still runs smoothly. With rechargable battery i get 3hrs smooth running before battery starts dying on me. Besides eyepieces best accessory for your scope.
I like that it not only power but have all the other features that are quite useful, flashlights etc.
