I shoot snowboarding full time, this kit is an excellent side kick to my Ranger RX kit. It will capture fast moving action, on top of lighting up the non-action areas.

My results increased dramatically after getting this setup. The package is extremely heavy, but fortunately the box has rollers. I would recommend gloves as the lights get pretty hot.

Comments about Lowel Close Quarters Kit:
This is a great light set for photographers who want to increase the number of lights, or for those who are just starting out with tungsten who need a good kit on a decent budget. I use these for architecture, and they work great to highlight areas in the frame, although I would also suggest a flood light or two to balance things out.
The bulbs are also very fragile and the insulation clay-like material around the pins can come loose, but otherwise they work great.
