It's not as powerful as I thought. I will need to purchase a second one. Good quality. Glad I went with Lowell and not a cheaper brand...

This Lowel softbox kit comes with everything you need to get started, including the bulb. The EX designation allows you to swap out different types of bulbs according to your requirements. The stand is heavy duty. The light sets up quickly and easily. This product is designed for the professional on the go. Get this kit and you can say "Been there, lit that". lol

Comments about Lowel Rifa-Lite EX55 Softbox Light Kit, LB40 Soft Case (120-240VAC):
This is one sweet kit.
It's lightweight, easy to transport, and sets fast for a softbox.
I would recommend the balance bar accessory or a sandbag because without the bar, the light is a bit front heavy. I would get a spare lamp or two right away. The kit includes a little padded hard container to keep them in. I also have the same kit with the hard case as well for air travel. This bag is very well made and would probably hold up in baggage, but I didn't want to take any chances. The bag seems almost large enough to squeeze two kits into. I haven't tried that yet. I use my kits for interview shots and in operating room environments because they conceal the lamp and don't leave spots in the surgeon's eyes if they glance at it.

The Rifa-Lite EX55 Softbox Light is compact, light-weight and easy to set-up/strike (the kit is complete as is)...just the right thing for lighting a corner of an office to grab b-roll; for a one-person interview, or for table-top demonstration..love it!

Comments about Lowel Rifa-Lite EX55 Softbox Light Kit, LB40 Soft Case (120-240VAC):
This soft box is simple to set up and configure, it takes less than 60 seconds from start to finish. Get the kit with the stand and case for easy transport. You'll want several bulbs as well – the kit comes with a small plastic container (a bit flimsy but functional) for additional bulbs.
Good source of soft even lighting, you can use one as a keylight and another for rim lighting. While there are less expensive chimera kits available the build quality of the Lowel products is very good. The new kits have interchangeable heads so there's plenty of flexibility.
