Comments about AKG KM259/5 Extra Low Profile Tripod:

The AKG K&M stands are true Konig and Meyer stands. I've had one for over twenty years, while every other brand I've ever purchased has eventually broken.
I just bought this low profile stand for the bottom snare mic and it is very well made. It's tough, easy to adjust, and, if it's like the one I already have, will never strip.
These are the best stands, I won't buy anything but AKG or K&M ever again.

Comments about AKG KM259/5 Extra Low Profile Tripod:

Has a pretty heavy weight to it, even when holding heavy condensers its not going down easily, seems like it will last a very long time, K&M has the best mic stands i have found.

Comments about AKG KM259/5 Extra Low Profile Tripod:

This is the finest mic tripod we have ever seen. VERY sturdy and adjustable for any possible position. We really like the fact that this tripod has some "weight" to it. If we had a lightweight, flimsy one, it would get kicked around and damages more, not to mention, the damage to the mic. THIS IS ONE STURDY PIECE OF MACHINERY !!!
