Comments about Alesis MULTIMIX 12R Rack Mountable 10-Channel, 12-Input Mixer:

This mixer was purchased to work as a drum submix for a church sound system. The mixer has all the features that were required and was installed without issue. This mixer has the feel of quality and specs to match in spite of it's low price.

The only surprise was that the individual channel signal lights only indicate clipping (actually just before). In most mixers it is common for these lights to glow green with a normal level signal and red for clipping. This is a big help when setting up or troubleshooting. As this is being used as a "sub" mixer, it is difficult to move headphones over to it to check signals so some signal present indication for each channel would really help. Other than this I would recommend this mixer for any small mixing needs.

This little Mixer packs a Big Punch for it's small size. It's perfect for a Small PA or for an installation where i'm using them. I've installed 5 of these in different installations and the operators love how small and easy to use they are.

Comments about Alesis MULTIMIX 12R Rack Mountable 10-Channel, 12-Input Mixer:

I use this mixer for my solo act as well as with my other acts that can have as many as 5 singers on stage at once. The eight mic pre's are clean and have inserts (or direct outs for recording multi-track), decent hi-low shelving eq and pre and post aux send. It also has a small footprint of only 3 rack spaces. It would be nice if it had a midrange eq section for each channel, but this has never been a big problem in the past even with all the differnt microphone/singer combinations I use.

I needed a rack-mount mixer and was prepared for a so-so experience but, to my suprise, when used properly this mixer works well. It provides all the basic functions needed for a quick set-up and fit my needs for a portable rig with good sound quality. I would buy it again.

Comments about Alesis MULTIMIX 12R Rack Mountable 10-Channel, 12-Input Mixer:

I am using this mixer for my live solo multimedia performances; into the mixer I have a guitar, a bass, an electrified hand-drum, two laptops, and two microphones going into the mixer, and each of the aux sends routes to a different looper device, with the returns coming into two other inputs on the mixer. It all works perfectly. The mixer seems very sturdy and smooth, and the sound is very clean. In a perfect world, there would be a third aux send, but besides that it seems to be exactly what I wanted and needed, with no apparent drawbacks. Yay, Alesis Multimix 12R!
