Comments about Roland KC-150 - 65 Watt Keyboard Amplifier:

As a music teacher, I need to be able to project my keyboard over 30 loud children. The KC-150 is just the keyboard to do it. It also fits on my traveling cart (albeit, on its back) for when I have to travel from classroom to classroom. Overall, I think it's a great amplifier, and the price isn't all that bad either.

Comments about Roland KC-150 - 65 Watt Keyboard Amplifier:

With a good mixer, this is one of the best PA systems you can have and actually carry with you. Projection is amazing. 300' is no problem outdoors. The only drawback is dispersion is very narrow--off to the side, sounds falls off rapidly. Two of these are loud enough for almost any size venue (two of the next size bigger will get the police called, I speak from experience). Clarity isn't that great, a good Yamaha speaker will beat it easily. But price to performance, you're getting a lot for your money and the weight.

You can turn these amps up to max with no distortion. I've successfully made people with large PA systems feel stupid using only a single Roland.

It works well with guitars and basses, but with passive pickups you'll never have enough gain.

And yes, it works great with Keyboards, but who uses stuff for what it's intended.

Easy to haul, easy to use, great sound.

I had the smaller Roland amp (liked it) but sold it, then purchased a different product. Ended up buying another Roland, just upgraded the wattage. Am very very happy with this amp. It works for a small venue or a larger one equally well.

Comments about Roland KC-150 - 65 Watt Keyboard Amplifier:

I'm a pro. I bought this as a multi-purpose versatile personal stage monitor, to accurately reproduce whatever signal it receives, in any situation. It does that. For a small party or 'listening' gig, it can be all you need.

I use both Stratocaster and Taylor guitars live, and sometimes only have room for one small amp. The mixer section makes this easily possible. It is also sometimes used for running midi sequences at small venues.

It does start to distort at around 7...but then, so does every other amplifier of this low a wattage. Duh! So what? It's a tool, and there is a proper tool for every job.
