The ART MyMonitor is a personal monitor mixer designed to suit the individual level needs of performers. The mixer features an XLR microphone input and Thru output. A monitor input features a stereo 1/4" phone input and accepts a line level input from external mixers, recorders etc. The mixer is designed to allow talent to set their own microphone levels without affecting the level on output. Although microphone and line level signal are fed into the mixer, only the microphone signal is sent via the Mic Thru output. The mixer is powered with a 12V DC power supply or single 9V battery. Dual headphone outputs accommodate 2 headphones.

Isolated Microphone Output
The MyMonitor personal mixer allows a performer to adjust microphone level against the line signal. Only the microphone signal is sent via the Mic Thru output, unaffected by any level adjustments.

Comments about ART MYMONITOR Personal Portable Monitor Mixer:

GggghhbThe MyMonitor is a real good solution/alternative to a wireless headset. There are pros and cons when compared in this way. Here are several of the pros:

    It is built very well.
It allows mixing of an input signal, say an output from a monitor channel
It can be powered via battery or AC/DC wall brick

    Cons:
The input jack is a stereo jack, therefore if you run a cable from mixer's monitor to to it, you will only hear it in one side of your headphones. I purchased and installed an additional toggle switch that allows me the bridge left and right channels. Sure, it's mono but also plays sound in both ears. This additional switch is something ART should add. This is a pretty big negative, to me.

The box also has a power switch to switch from battery to external supply. Really? How lazy can these designers be??? This box should have been designed without the pwr switch. The circuit board should simply sense that there is an external supply and automatically switch off battery power. Also, it should turn off battery power when there are no input signals to conserve battery life.

All that being said, I'm glad I have this unit as its far more convenient than buying wedge monitors and an amp. A simple and effective solution.
