The Behringer HA4700 headphone amplifier is a very full-featured, professional, 4-channel rackmount unit. It provides balanced Main input and output connectivity and 4 independent headphone amplifiers, with individual level, balance and stereo/mono monitoring control, in addition to individual channel EQ's.
The separate HA4700 Aux and Direct inputs, also allocated per channel, allow for further customizing of the various mixes each amplifier can receive from the main console. The paralleled main outputs allow for clean cascade operation of multiple units.
The HA4700 is a great value; it's clean, loud, feature-rich and very reasonably priced.

Comments about Behringer HA4700 - Headphone Amplifier:
I purchased this unit to use to allow up to 4 people or in our case, 2 people and 1 amplified speaker, to work with one radio. We always had problems when more than one operator at a time was at the rig, but this unit allows us to tailor not only vol, but tone. The metal construction made it impervious to RF interference. Buyng 2 more next year for our club.

Comments about Behringer HA4700 - Headphone Amplifier:
I bought it to allow me to use my Koss Pro4AA (studio grade low-impedance) phones without having to turn on a power amp. (No Ipod can drive these.) Also lets me consolidate other headphone ports. The HA4700 has two rear jacks for each of the 4 amps, so you could have up to 12 phones attached to this unit. The sound quality is excellent - it really shouldn't be anything but. I don't know where the comment below is coming from. Yet, on my high impedance phones in total quiet I get a very tiny nearly-inaudiable 60Hz hum, that I don't hear with the low impedance phones that require more drive. That cost a star. Could be a ground problem but I think it is the power supply since I hear it on mute and it doesn't get louder with volume increase. It is driven by another piece of Behringer equipment inches away so no excuses anyway.Controls have detents that I'd rather see continuous but no big deal.BH price was far better than [...] was offering.

Set it up and it works just fine. I like the ability to adjust treble and bass, aux and the outputs on the back. Meter for each head phone.

Comments about Behringer HA4700 - Headphone Amplifier:
I have a keyboard rig with a line mixer for three stereo 'boards and electronic crossover that drives the power amplifiers. The HA4700 was the only headphone amplifier solution that allowed me to loop the mixer output through and maintain full balanced signal paths to keep out the hum and buzz. I'm also really happy with the headroom the HA4700 has to drive my favorite low impedance headphones. I haven't found a use for all the other headphone channels yet, but just having full balanced loop-thru is well worth stepping up from the single personal headphone amps.

i use this in a project studio set-up. while this unit offers a lot of options the sound quality isn't very good. i haven't tried other amps in this price range but i definitley will and replace this one. i will spend more for the new one.

Comments about Behringer HA4700 - Headphone Amplifier:
A solid, clean sounding headphone amp with several routing configurations. I like the fact that it fits in the rack. Another plus are the individual headphone channel options like stereo/mono, right left, bass and treble controls.

I bought one of these over 8 years ago and it is still in perfect working condition (even after extremely heavy use). I just bought this second one to have more headphone mixes.
