The FLM Quick Release System includes the Quick Release Base and Quick Release Plate. This system provides a quick release solution to tripod heads without the quick release feature of mounting and unmounting cameras in a hurry. It will fit on any head or tripod that has a 3/8" threaded screw.
The Base has a flip-lever quick clamping system, and the integrated plate locking device creates a fail-safe system to handle even the heaviest cameras. Two plates are available for this system: long (standard) rectangular plate for full size cameras, or a shorter square plate for lighter cameras. Made in Germany.

It's not an easy and quick release system, as you have to slide your gear in the track, perfectly parallel, and then stop it exactly to have it click in with the knob.. It is very sturdy and so would be good for someone with some real hefty lenses or camera gear; otherwise the Stroboframe and others are much easier to use..
