Comments about Chief FWD-110B Dual Swing Arm Wall Mount (Black):

I wanted to be able to view a 22" LCD TV from either the kitchen or the adjoining dining area. These areas are separated by a counter and upper cubboards. Between the two rooms we have a microwave oven on top of which is a digital set-top box. We wanted the flat panel TV to swing over the set top box and not hit the upper copboard. If the installation went well, there would be about one inch clearance below the TV and one inch clearance above the TV.

When the Chief Swing Arm Wall Mount arrived, I spent a couple of hours reading the well switten manual and inventoring the parts and tools. All was there. Because positioning the attachment to a wall stud at precisely the right height, I asked a friend to help me. Within two hours, we had the installation complete. I'm impressed by the quality of the Mount, nice design, and ease of installation. I'd certainly buy the product again, and I'll be recommending it to my friends.

Installation Advice. The recommended 1/8" pilot holes drilled into the studs is definitely too small for old studs that have become hard. We used a 5/32" drill bit. Because the height of the wall mount was critical, we attached the TV first, held the TV at the exact height we wanted, then marked the bottom of the swing arm wall mount when it was over the stud. Then, we withdrew the wall mount and measured the distance from the Wall F-Series Mount to the center of the bottom hole in the Wall bracket. We then took out the wall bracket, placed the bottom hole over the mark on the wall. We then marked the center of the top hole. We then drilled the two holes. All went smoothly.
