I've used this film for all sorts of applications: landscape, urban landscape, documentation, environmental portraits, street shooting etc. It really is quite remarkable. I have tested TMY-2 against most every other film in its class and to my eye it stands head and shoulders above the rest. It is visibly sharper with a grain structure one would expect from a slower film. The tonality is excellent. When developed in Pyrocat HD it can deliver beautiful results. The base is very flat and the film scans well. It enlarges very well and silver prints from TMY negs rarely disappoint. This is one of Kodak's best products and it is worth saying that Kodak QC is the best in the industry so you will not encounter any unwanted surprises.

40+ years of photography and I have always found the T-Max line to be highly reliable. This current batch in being used in a 1936 Rolleicord.

Comments about Kodak TMY 120 T-Max 400 Professional Black & White Print Film (ISO-400):
Kodak T-Max is always the best. It allows for a good stop worth of wiggle room with the exposure and is forgiving in the development process. My prints turned out crystal clear, although this film is a little prone to scratching. Nonetheless, handle with care and you're golden!

I love shooting with this film in my Mamiya c330! The ultra- fine grain creates photos that have excellent depth and tone. It also develops quickly and maintains great shadow tones. I have no complaints about this film whatsoever.

This film with 400 ASA is excellent for broad based shooting. I use it at all times of the day but best at early morning and evening with its long latitude. Recommend it for all photographers of Black and White genre.

Consistent and great range. I use this film from 400-1600 and I get excellent results every time. I barely use anything else. Scans perfectly and most importantly, it is the only 120 film I have used to date that air dries perfectly flat!

I use this film in my 1950s Rolleiflex when I'm feeling that I need a break from digital or I want that feel that you only get with medium format B&W. This film has just the right amount of grain, and it's really easy to develop. I'm a complete amateur when it comes to developing my own film, and I can easily get good results with this film in a daylighting tank in my kitchen. The 400 ISO makes it easy to get good exposures on an older camera where the shutter speeds are no longer so accurate, and the tonal range is very nice.

I'm new to medium format photography and wanted some affordable film that I could experiment with. This film delivered. I got some very exciting results and will use this film again. If you are looking for some good B & W film and don't want to spend a lot of money, this film is a good place to start.

I am done with all the other black and white films, other brands that is. I shot them all, pushed and pulled, and still, I get what I need with the 400 and then the 100. Make a 3200 in 120 puh-leeze?
