Kodak Professional Tri-X 120 Black & White Print Film is an all-purpose panchromatic film for subjects requiring good depth of field and high shutter speeds, and for extending the flash distance range.
Tri-X has been an industry standard for decades. As a result of its flexibility for general use, its fine grain, "pushability" and wide latitude, Tri-X is hard to beat. The film delivers a broad, even gray scale and can be used for everything from portraits to landscapes.

I have used Kodak Tri-X Pan film in perhaps well over a thousand development sessions and print on a regular basis. Tri-X responds extremely well to development in tanning and staining developers, such as PMK formula. It is equally at home with standard developers or for push processing for speed increase. I love the tonal range and graphic quality of this film, for it truly displays the character I am after. If developed carefully, one can easily control grain with a fine grain developer, or choose to work with an acutance developer, like Rodinal, of FX-2, to bring out that gritty and edgy feel in which it is famous. For those using Tri-X or TXP for alternative processes, it works exemplary with tanning and staining developer formulas.

B'H (Baruch Hashem) Photovideo.... My grandpa gave me his beloved Medium Format Camera and he used to always use Kodak Tri-X and when he showed me his work, it looked STUNNING!!! I loved the grain and contrast and so I bought a few rolls. I am using BH to develop them and then I scanned and printed them and they look superb. I highly recommend this film to anyone!

Comments about Kodak Professional Tri-X 120 Black & White Print Film (ISO-400):
This is my first choice film for 90 percent of subjects. I have selective used it for landscape when others would use slower film. Care must be taken on ensuring balanced dynamic range in these situations. For portrait with a city scape background it is excellent.

B & H is the place to go for the film and photo gear you just can't find in stores anymore. With major retail chains closing down it is getting harder to find things like 120 roll film over the counter anywhere. But I always know where to go, right here at B&H.

Comments about Kodak Professional Tri-X 120 Black & White Print Film (ISO-400):
High speed ISO permits use in low light and studio work. Full tonal range and contrast range.
Can be used with several developers including D76, HC110 and Rodinal. Spped can be pushed without excessive grain or contrast.
May not be available for long because of Kodak bankruptcy.

Comments about Kodak Professional Tri-X 120 Black & White Print Film (ISO-400):
As most photographers have moved into the digital realm, leaving producers of fine films out to try in an industry and consummer pattern that seems dead-set on complete destruction of film based photos, I cherish my use of Kodak Tri-X 400. It is simply, a beautiful medium. It responds well and diversly to different developers, allowing artists a bevy of choices for creative responses. I have used Tri-X for over two decades starting as a student in the 80's and now as a professional and fine art photographer.
