I use this product for its intended use, on my Epson R320 inkjet printer. I do appreciate the way that this ink looks on its intended media, and really my only gripes are with the way that Epson's driver handles the use of it in strictly b/w prints. There is no middle ground here, Epson's driver uses all colours, including black, to make a b/w print, as opposed to just using varying shades of black from this ink and leaving the colours out of it.
The ink itself is great, and when used on Epson paper, it produces rich blacks in my colour prints that I've yet to see wash out. I would like to see this in a higher capacity cartridge, but alas, my printer is also rather old by most standards, and likely that won't happen.

I've been working on a photo book of 145 pages and have had to print many drafts at high quality for proofing. These inks were a valuable part of my workflow and have great vivid color on good paper.
It would be nice if the ink prices were more reasonable industry wide...

As advertised. Clean, crisp and clear. I leave the printer on to keep these things from jamming up. Still don't know what is cheaper - turn off printer and use ink to clean the nozzles or leave the printer on and pay for the electric. I suspect the latter is the best way to keep going.

I've had my Epson Stylus Photo RX500 for six and a half years. The only thing I have had to do, besides replace empty ink cartridges was replace the ink pad that collects excess ink at 4 1/2 years. I owe this to the wonderful ink that Epson produces for their printers. But, not only long life, but the photos that is produces, are lab quality, if not better. What more could you ask for.

The cartridge, like most, doesn't last super long. Though the real issue is the printer, ink is used every time you turn the printer on and off and clean the head reducing the life of the cartridges. Furthermore, if you accidentally leave the printer on for a while, the head gets pretty gunky requiring many cleanings. So, if you treat your printer well, this cartridge is on par with industry standard.

It's the black ink cartridge that my Epson printer needs, so it’s the one I buy. I use my Epson printer for all my printing needs; CDs, DVDs, Invoices, letters, everything. Buying the cartridge online (through B&H) is cheaper and more convenient than going to my local office supply store. It would be even more convenient if they would bundle the black cartridge with the 5 Color Set of Ink Cartridges (a 6-pack sounds good, doesn’t it?) The cartridge tends to last longer than I expect but not as long as I would like. Overall I am very satisfied with the black Ink Cartridge by Epson
