Eastman Tri-X Reversal Film 7266 (Super 8 mm) is a high-speed, panchromatic black-and-white film with an anti-halation undercoat that makes it suitable for general interior photography with artificial light.

When processed as a reversal film, the resulting positive can be used for projection or for duplication. If processed as a negative material by conventional methods, this film will yield satisfactory results, although there will be some loss in speed.

Especially suited for sports, and high-speed motion picture photography
Kodak's highest speed (EI 160T, 200D) reversal panchromatic film for photography in difficult, low-level lighting conditions both outdoors and in the studio
Can be used in daylight
Particularly useful for photographing sports at regular speed or in slow motion in low-light conditions late in the day or with an overcast sky
Characterized by excellent tonal gradation and high resolving power

I just finished my first roll and have to take it in today to see how it is. But I ordered the film and the camera on the same day and didn't have to wait for my film to use the camera. It got here quick! Really excited!

          Comments about Kodak #7266 TXR464 Tri-X Super 8 Film:

I have yet to get the film in the dark room but dealing with B&H was easy and the shipping was quick. The film looks good and don't expect any problems, having dealt with it in the past and having loved the results. I'll update the review once I get everything developed. That being said, I run this film on a canon 1014 AZ and it comes out crisp and right out of a film noir. It has excellent depth and brings a starkness that really gives clarity to the subject at hand and you can still run it on projector!

            Comments about Kodak #7266 TXR464 Tri-X Super 8 Film:

Recent 8mm films like Vision 3 lack the classic grain although the result still looks unique enough however my preferance for 8MM is still B&W which this film is almost perfect for the purpose. Specially when combined with good cameras like Canon 514 814 and 1014.

              Comments about Kodak #7266 TXR464 Tri-X Super 8 Film:

I love working with analogue film. 16mm is my go-to, but recently had a chance to use a super 8 canon, so I thought I'd buy up some cheap tri-x to practice with. So glad I bought this through B&H. It was shipped to my house the next day in protective and dry packaging. As with super 8 film cartridges, it is very easy to load. This tri-x is as predictable as the next, b&w and perfect contrast if used with a light meter. I will be buying all my analogue film needs from B&H from now on!

                Comments about Kodak #7266 TXR464 Tri-X Super 8 Film:

Tri-X is Kodak's workhorse film stock, and it consistently delivers good results. It is versitle- I often shoot with only available light, including low-light conditions, and it has proved reliable for years. The reversal stock has an added bonus, as you can process it yourself and save on lab fees.

This Kodak Super 8 50' Eastman Tri-X B&W Reversal Film turned out to be a great buy! I picked up a Sears Super 8mm Camera and this was my first attempt at shooting with it. The camera worked like a charm and this film was perfect for shooting on! The image quality is great, it looks great in black and white, and not to mention, the price is unbeatable!

                  Great job!

                                  Comments about Kodak #7266 TXR464 Tri-X Super 8 Film:

When I learned that Kodak discontinued all slide film production, I figured that Super 8 would be next to be stopped. So, I stocked up on a few rolls of Tri-X. It's the most reliable, standard, B&W film that remains available and processable. If you shoot Super 8, it's worthwhile to keep some Tri-X handy.

                                        Comments about Kodak #7266 TXR464 Tri-X Super 8 Film:

I used the super 8 film to recreate "vintage footage" for a flashback scene in a drama I produced at my technical school. After processing, and adapting the film to a digital format (which is not as costly as I thought it would be, but still required some shopping around) the footage turned out more then perfect. Great contrast and saturation, but LIGHTING is everything - Beware of under-exposed indoor shots.

Just what I needed to perfect the film.

Very good movie film. I developed it as a negative instead of doing a reversal and it worked out well.

This film has a quality all it's own, Unmatched by any digital device.
It is grainy, rich, has a depth and flexibility and renders a subject more 'real' than the hard edged, plastic and lifeless feel of consumer video equipment.

It is also much less forgiving than digital as you have to have your accurate lighting readings and know your equipment well to be able to determine what you will get. No light and you have black film. When the conditions are right, though, nothing beats this romantic, rich warm look of the tri-x reversal film

This film stock is still reliable and properly exposed, will give you the kind of latitude one hopes for with Super8. Over exposing slightly is not a thread,m though slight under-exposure risks giving you mud. What is amazing is how nice the contrast is and also how fine the grain pattern is compared to stocks from years back. A high definition transfer from this stock can look terrific. Thankfully the notching in the cartridge can be read by virtually any Super8 camera. I've shot the Tri-X on a Canon 1014 XL-S, a Nikon R10 and an old Bauer that is wroth about ten cents. it performed perfectly on all three cameras.
