The Dahle Premium Trimmer is a heavy use trimmer designed for studio and business use. From an individual sheet to mat board, this trimmer is a reliable tool that will serve you well for many years. The high capacity trimmer features a self-sharpening blade that will always assure you of a neat, straight and precise cut.
The square guide rod holds the paper in proper alignment which the auto clamp keeps it firmly grasped. The cutting surface is marked in inch and metric markings and is supported by a rugged metal base. For added convenience, the adjustable backstop fits on either side of the trimmer.

I've given it a five since for the couple weeks I've had this, it has been a pure pleasure to use it. Granted, my last one came from a generic office store, but this unit is precise; it is easy to read the crop numbers; the blade is sharp; and it runs effortlessly on its rail. Good, sturdy, small studio machine.

I use this trimmer cut out a lot of product packaging and brochures. It cuts all I need cleanly but the sliding movement is not very smooth compared to others I have used. So it feels cheap in that area.

the cut is fantastic. the accuracy of cutting the smallest slices is fantastic. doesnt leave any marks on the paper on either side of the cut.
only issue (which other people had mentioned on other sizes of this item) is that the right angle guide bar doesnt always line up to a perfect 90 degrees. i would hope for something better (for that part) on a trimmer this expensive. just have to double check before you cut something. also, i was cutting some wallet sized photos (2x3 inches) and you pretty much have to totally line those up yourself

I use this to trim fine art supplies after printing. The edges are very clean and difficult to tell from the original edges. There are no problems with the heavier papers, I wish that I had this a few years ago.
