I typically print images in one session, meaning I do all of the printing that I have to do in a continuous manner. The interleaving paper is a godsend in that I remove the image from the printer, and just before the next image comes out (a few minutes because I print using the highest density possible), I place a sheet of interleaving over the image and stack the newest image on top. I've never had one bit of trouble with the product and can't print without placing the product between images.

Buffered tissue is available in a variety of sizes and from a variety of sources. Unbuffered tissue has become difficult to find and is a must for images that can fade when placed in contact with an alkaline material. I use this with my cyanotypes and color photographs.

I recently took an encaustic workshop (painting with melted colored wax) and one of the techniques I learned was taping the Interleaving tissue to printer paper and running it through my ink jet printer with the photo of my choice. This was then removed from the printer paper and fused onto my prepared surface using a heat gun. I was pretty impressed with the results and will continue to pursue this technique!
