Great to use with 035 to put my ball head on the clamp. Will use in kenya for mounting to roof rack on jeep.

Prefect for mounting a camera in a remote location. I also use magic arms. But thought I would give this a try. I used 4 of this to mount 4 cameras to a fence to shot the [...] fireworks on the 4th of July.I thought the magic arms would accentuate any shaking of the fence. My shots were tack sharp!!I will use these for doing time lapse photography as well.

I purchased a super clamp, and needed to mount my tripod head on it. This is what I needed. It's solid (duh, it's all metal with no moving parts), and fits perfectly. The only thing that irritates me about it is that Manfrotto/Bogen know they can charge out the [*] for it, and they do (IMHO).

Comments about Manfrotto 208HEX Head Mounting Plate with Hex Stud - 3/8" Thread:
Solid, well built, sturdy. Works well with my Manfrotto 035RL Superclamp and 322RC2 ball head and DSLR or video camera to act as a mini support to clamp to many different surfaces. Typical Manfrotto, very well made.
Comments about Manfrotto 208HEX Head Mounting Plate with Hex Stud - 3/8" Thread:
I chose the "hex stud" over the round one, for stability with panning. It interfaces just as it should with my tripod head. This is a MUST have for anyone with a Super Clamp. It allows me to mount my camera at lower positions than my tripod can achieve (such as clamped to a low coffee table, pointed up at the talent seated on the couch). If you can securely clamp to it, than you can use this!

This is a must have for anyone with a superclamp. It is an easy way to mount the tripod heads you already own on pretty much anything. Could be used to mount a nice video head without lugging a tripod to a location. Also great for rigging remote video or still cameras. Would not go anywhere with out this in my rig.

A must for mounting a ball head to a bogen super clamp.

Allows me to attach my tripod head to a Super Clamp which can then be clamped onto just about anything.
Enables me to use a variety of shooting platforms, in situations where I can't use a tripod.

Comments about Manfrotto 208HEX Head Mounting Plate with Hex Stud - 3/8" Thread:
This accessory allows you to turn an ordinary ballhead and Superclamp into a go-anywhere camera support. Want to take photos where tripods are prohibited (like most of New York City) or impractical? With the aforesaid combination, you can turn any pipe, railing, light fixture, even mailbox into a photo opportunity. Lastly, it's smaller than a tripod, and more stable than a Magic Arm (especially with heavier cameras).
