Comments about Olympus 10x50 Trooper DPS I Binocular:

I'm an avid photographer, with a minor in birding. I have been using a fine pair of field glasses for the last forty years, but recent experience and knowledge of modern Olympus optics made me curious as to whether I could upgrade. Like I said, birding is an interest, but doesn't overwhelm me, so I'm not interested in a $ dollar pair of binoculars. The Olympus were pretty affordable, and therefore a real buy. Truthfully, I didn't have high expectations because my old set was so good. And more so, I wasn't sure my eyes were good enough to notice a difference. . . . Well the first time I picked them up, . . . I did. They were noticeably clearer. My old set seemed to be bathed in a light fog in comparison. I look forward to using these in the field. These glasses are just a bit heavy, and they include an adequate strap, but for heavy use I would recommend a bigger field-type strap.
