I bought 2 sets of casters - 25mm for my Main light stand and these (I think 22 mm) for my book stand. I'm very happy with both and it makes moving around my lights so much easier. It was well worth the money. Neither set came with very good instructions and it took me a little while to figure out how to properly put them on. There is a little knob on the inside of the caster "cup". Some light stands have a hole on the bottom of each leg and the knob snaps into this hole and locks the caster in place. Some light stands do not have a whole but you can still secure the caster to the leg with the screw it comes with.

Comments about Manfrotto Casters for Light Stands - Set of Three:
I've had light stands for years and years, just discovered these little add-ons now. With the help of a sandbag, these connected to my manfrotto standard light stands perfectly an are wonderful for moving lights around, especially those with larger light modifiers attached. But yes, a sandbag is a must since the stands and wheels are quite light and pushing them means they can topple over easily if there isn't weight at the base.
I picked some of these up for my heavy duty light stands also and I that combination even better.
For studio use, these are a must for budget minded photographers not able to yet afford steel stands with wheel bases.

I put these wheels on my Manfrotto light stand and they are perfect. Easy installation. Now the stand moves around a heck of a lot easier than without them.

Comments about Manfrotto Casters for Light Stands - Set of Three:
Purchased 018 set to marry to Manfrotto 420B combi-light stand with boom.Set up instruction of little assistance however set-up is simple. Casters simplifies movement of light stand, especially when stand is top heavy. Casters cleverly fold in on stand when stand is folded up, however the design does restrict complete closure.Your sandbag/s will provide any necessary braking. The advantages of the castors do outweigh the disadvantages.

I was a bit apprehensive about ordering these casters for use with my new Manfrotto studio stands. They appeared to be made from a lihgtweight plastic. The actual product has proved to be very substantial and has provided added functionality to my light stands. Very pleased with these items.

Comments about Manfrotto Casters for Light Stands - Set of Three:
Not all of our stands legs fit inside, some are too big. But for any stand that will take them, we put them on. Just realize that they won't be as compact when the stand is collapsed. If you are constantly opening/closing stands, these may seem more of a hassle. But for moving around the studio, they are awesome.

Comments about Manfrotto Casters for Light Stands - Set of Three:
They are a great addition to the light stand. The only bad thing is that sometimes they don't move well.
They can't be easily attached/unattached constantly. (You would need a screwdriver and loosen one by one and keep the screws).
But it's cool to have wheeled light stand.

I highly recommend it for those who move the light stand frequently during the photoshoot.
It's quite heavy. B&H should post the specification of it so the future users have some ideas of the weight they will deal with.

Go on easy. You tighten a small set screw to keep them on. If you wanted to take the stands with you, you'll need to take the wheels off to fold up the stands.
