The Giottos MM 9150 Monopod is a 4-section professional class model made from aluminum, with 32/28/24/20mm diameter segments. You can use the MM 9150 with the very largest of lenses, such as a 400mm f/2.8 or 600mm f/4, though it is ideal for use with slightly smaller rigs such as a 300mm f/2.8 or 500mm f/4.
The MM 9150's rubber foot is broad and slightly springy, and that helps it to get a firm grip on many surfaces. The MM 9150 also has a comfortable hand strap and some foam padding wrapped to the top.

This monopod can hold 33lbs of total weight. Its clamps hold firm, and it is rock solid and built very well. For those on a limited budget, like I am, its a great monopod at a great price.

I don't personally like the twist joints. It's more of a personal thing.

Comments about Giottos MM 9150 4-Section Aluminum Monopod - Supports 33 lbs (15kg):
Im glad i read all the reviews on the B&H website when looking around for a monopod. It really made my decision easier and with the help of great sales men at the super store, I didnt regret buying this monopod.
Im not tall. Just about 1.72m and i chose this monopod cause i only need to extend 3 sections and the monopod will be just right for my height. Its quick that way and the 4th section is not too thin and shaky. Very happy with the sturdiness and security it provides me. Im using this product with a D300s with battery packs attached. It doesnt take much twisting of the lock to secure in position. Good deal.
