Comments about Yamaha NS-AW350B 6.5" 130 Watts Bookshelf Speaker - Pair - Black:
Purchased these for a retail environment. Yamaha speakers offer the natural sound we are looking for, meaning they are not overly harsh on highs, mids or lows, for background music they sound great and don't get in the way of talking to customers, when turned up the bass comes through and sound great! I have these same speakers at home and they are great cranked up. We are using a Onkyo stereo receiver to power these

Comments about Yamaha NS-AW350B 6.5" 130 Watts Bookshelf Speaker - Pair - Black:
I used these as the two rear speakers on an aftermarket radio installation in a classic car. They are sitting on the floor in the rear, which allowed me to not have to cut any holes to mount rear speakers. There were aftermarket kick panels with 6 1/2" coaxial speakers available for the front speakers and these were also used. These Yamaha speakers in the rear provide much superior bass, while the front speakers provide a higher treble level. I found the speakers to be a great compliment in this system, and would rate the sound quality of the audio system up there with high end "component" factory systems, while the radio and all four speakers cost less than $200.

Comments about Yamaha NS-AW350B 6.5" 130 Watts Bookshelf Speaker - Pair - Black:
I've owned these speakers for about 2 weeks, and have probably used them half-a-dozen times. I replaced an old set of Boston Acoustic speakers with theses Yamaha's. The sound quality is better than the speakers they are replacing; and mounting them under the eaves as recommended does seem to make a difference in the bass output (due to house roofline one got mounted near eaves, the other didn't). While I would recommend them to friends, I have two gripes:
1) the grille of one of the speakers has already fallen off and appears to only be held on by a couple of dabs of glue. While this obviously doesn't effect performance, I am disappointed that I am going to have to make a cosmetic repair on what are essential brand new speakers.
2) the speakers only can rotate in one direction depending on the mounting. Mine are mounted with the greater dimension being the width, so therefore they can swivel left or right, but not up and down. In my application (on an elevated deck), it would be nice to have both fields of movement, but for the price it's hard to complain.

We set up a pair of these for our outdoor patio area. Fantastic pricing for a fairly well built speaker. Handles more than power and can crank up fairly loud outdoors if needed. Bass is ok, not heavy but sufficant. going to buy 2 more sets for our new outdoor home theater system

Comments about Yamaha NS-AW350B 6.5" 130 Watts Bookshelf Speaker - Pair - Black:
I purchased 2 pairs of these speakers to replace very old and poor quality ones used for music and a microphone system in the club house of our ice arena. That being said, they will be used only indoors and bought them mainly for the attachment system.
They are surprisingly heavy and seem well built. I think the design shape is a bit odd. They use a convex design curving away from the wall that leaves a large void in back. I mounted them horizontally, as I thought it looked better, but the screen logo does not change directions so it is tipped sideways, which is no big deal. They install very easy and quickly either direction.
They are connected to a 200 watt (100 x2) receiver. I am not a sound expert but am pleased with the results so far. Admittedly, our room has poor acoustics, but the speakers sound better at higher volumes. They lack some bass at low volumes but crank it out well with higher levels.
Overall I think they will serve our needs very well. They were competitively priced versus other speakers with woofers of this size and brand recognition. I did 4 stars because I never rate anything as perfect. I would do 4.5 if the option was there.

Installed the speakers outside on my patio. The speakers are larger than what I expected and they have very little movement to adjust direction. However, these speakers sound very good and I was surprised with the amount of base. They sound much better than the JBL speakers on my deck.

Speakers are mounted under deck overhand facing swimming pool.
Sound Quality is great, bass is better than I expected from such a small speaker/housing
Only complaint (if you can call it that), is I wish the mounts where adjustable in all directions.

Comments about Yamaha NS-AW350B 6.5" 130 Watts Bookshelf Speaker - Pair - Black:
I mounted two of these under the eaves of a small cabin with a large side deck. For the money they have excellent sound and project well over long distances without excessive volume. The only surprise was how large they are. My cabin is very small so the speakers seemed really large, on a full size house they probably wouldn't look so big. I recommend finding a box of similar dimensions to mock-up where you plan to install them. No question I would recommend these to a friend.
