        Comments about Lowel Low-Link:

If you are using speedlights on umbrellas, umbrella boxes, softlighters etc., then typically the flash head is pointing at the upper third of the umbrella. This results in uneven light distribution. This little piece solves the problem: it allows you to mount your flash so that it is lying flat (horizontally) along the axis of the umbrella shaft, pointing straight down int other center. Result is that the light is distributed even. A world of difference. I cannot believe that umbrella/umbrella box/softlighter manufacturers do not ask folks to run as fast as they can to pick these up. They are so useful!

        Comments about Lowel Low-Link:

Here's the bottom line for me; I didn't buy this to use with a Lowel Light. I used it to mount a Zoom H2 handheld recorder to my camera cage. Since the Zoom H2 mount is on the bottom, rather the back, adapting this mount made the most sense. It's the perfect size, and the only additional equipment needed is one more screw, and a washer to keep the H2 from moving around.

I have 2 audio recorders and use the H2 for more Run & Gun video, and this lightweight, easy to attach mount worked perfectly. I'm sure it works just as well with lights! Price was right too!

        • Only 1 Threaded Hole

        Best Uses

          Comments about Lowel Low-Link:

I used this with my Canon Speedlights. It is used to attach a Bolt speed light battery pack to the flash bracket on a stand. I placed the longer side underneath the hot shoe attachment and then screwed the battery pack into the short side(threaded). Works perfectly and keeps the battery pack next to the speed light. The only "Con" is that the short arm side is the only threaded hole. I would have liked both arms to be threaded. Not a big deal, but would help in certain configurations.
