The Behringer MS16 2-Way Active Nearfield Monitors (Pair) are a pair of inexpensive powered, stereo monitors speakers, magnetically shielded, and housed in bass-reflex ported enclosures. Each 2-way speaker, equipped with a 4" woofer and a 1.5" tweeter, is powered by an 8W amplifier. The system is designed for desktop multimedia production and entertainment use.
The MS16 features a microphone input and headphone output, bass and treble tone controls, and two independent line inputs, on 1/8" stereo mini and RCA phono connectors, which allow for simultaneous monitoring of different audio sources. All controls are located on the Right speaker's front panel, and the audio inputs are found on that speaker's rear panel. The speakers are connected by a pair of RCA jacks, and are designated Left and Right, conforming to a Main/Satellite speaker design.
The MS16 represents a very cost effective alternative for desktop audio monitoring.

My budget for speakers was double what I paid for these, but found these to be superior to most in the higher price range.
I love everything about these. Straight out of the box, you'll recognize the detailed craftsmanship of true German audiophiles.

It's just the right match for my wife's 12-inch laptop. The sound is smooth and clean, and provides full coverage for my wife's entire craft room. My wife is happy about it, and I think it surpasses the performance I expected considering the price we paid for it. The sound can be greatly improved if I installed a subwoofer to enhance the bass end.

This is the second set of Behringer MS16 speakers I have owned. I sold the first set when hard times hit, and it should tell you much that I bought the same speakers when I was able financially. Not top of the line great, but good inexpensive speakers, certainly well worth the price.

I bought this pair of monitors on sale, and I can honestly say these have followed through. What I like most about these monitors is the control knobs on the front. The sound is very crisp and clean. Setup is as easy as plugging the chords in and turning them on. The monitors have improved my sound quality and really helped he whole recording process. These are perfect for a beginner to mid-range recording artist.

I use these for my small Kitchen TV, which fortunately allows volume control from the remote. The sound is crystal clear and a decent amount of bass. Don't expect mega-volume, but they're great for what I'm using them for!

For the cost, it's hard to go wrong with these guys. Though "accurate" may not be the best description, they sound d*** good. Easy to transport, I use these for mobile recording to play back to musicians and also for doing any initial mixing. They are versatile and do a good job, but NOT a replacement for any good studio monitors. I recommend these for someone that needs an easily transportable pair of monitors and for video editors that need something more accurate than your typical computer speakers.

Comments about Behringer MS16 2-Way Active Nearfield Monitors (Pair):
These speakers really offer a good sound. They outperform most of the 2.1 speakers in the price range. These are grate for music and they have enough bass for a small room, specially if you prefer to hear music instead of just bass (or vibration). For movies they sound great too, very real. They are bigger than expected but they still fit in my desktop. Since they don't have a subwoofer, they are good for being carried around.

We use these speakers as part of our Avid editing system set up. Our last pair degenerated after about 2 years - emitting a constant tone regardless of the volume, and occasionally throwing out loud crackling noises. Just purchased this pair to replace them - so far so good.

I just bought these to substitute my JBL Pro III's. The foam on the woofers were dry rotted. I was working on a limited budget and in a hurry to find something to use while I recorded and mixed in my home studio. These have not disappointed. Solid, relatively decent bass response for the speaker size and plastic cabinets. I have yet to have to crank them more than halfway (which is LOUD) although I suspect that past that point is were some distortion will occur. Midrange is lacking just a touch of something...not sure just where though. The treble is is excellent, vibrant. The separate treble and bass controls are choice. Aside from studio monitors these make great computer speakers. Easy to set up.

Since getting a newer PC over a year ago, I'd been toying with the idea of checking out some better than average, but affordable speakers so I might actually start enjoying things like You Tube
and other audio stuff on the internet.Somehow I wound up looking at Behringer gear, and found these..I took a chance and ordered them, and I'm glad I did; now I'm getting more enjoyment out of my PC and many of the audio things that need amplifying...these are lightweight, and good looking and just the right size with plenty of power. And it didn't break the bank...B and H had a better price than 2 or 3 other places had.
I would definitely recommend these...

Brought this product after see several YouTube vids. At first was a lil let down due to a weak bass sound but once I turned up the bass the monitors began to speak loud and clear. I must for small home studios. Very clear and round sound. Looks great too..
