The Verbatim DVD+R 4.7GB, 8x, White, Inkjet-Printable, Hub-Printable, DataLifePlus Recordable Disc (Spindle Pack of 50) is a write-once disc with a 4.7GB storage capacity. It provides a high-quality inkjet-printable, hub-printable disc for CD/DVD inkjet printers. The white surface discs are used for full-color, true-to-life photo quality printing. Customize each disc with crisp text and full color graphics along with reliable high-speed recording. DataLifePlus DVD+R media uses an advanced "Metal Azo" recording dye to provide the highest level of performance, compatibility, and archival life. The only reason I haven't given this 5 stars instead of 4 is that I haven't been using these discs long enough to evaluate the useful life of the recordings. So far the recording is excellent and the surface prints sharp and clear for the description of the recording.
I use these to record my image archives. So far the recovery of the images for additional printing has been without fault.

My DVD burning is mostly for one client who orders about 25 every 6 months or so, and a few others who want something occasionally.
I started using these because I didn't like the hassle of putting labels onto DVD's. Printing directly on the media (with an Epson R1900) gives a professional look, and being hub-printable gives a little extra printable area.
I have continued using them because I have never had one that was unreadable after burning, or that had any blemishes on the printable surface. There are DVD's available with higher burn speeds, but until I start burning a lot more, I will stick with what I know is reliable.

I have gone through 300 Blanks,, not the first coaster!!! Just ordered 100 more. I don't care if this disc don't burn fast, I just want a good quality finished product. They print good too.

I printed 100 of these disks and didn't have any problems. Data was verified successfully every time and the ink-jet printed images look great. I had 5 different videos to produce and completed the printed side first to keep the disks sorted. Although my printer didn't use that much ink for the disks (more ink was used on the 100 paper inserts I printed), the last thing you want is the data verification to fail after printing.

Ordered the wrong item. I'm supposed to order -R not +R and for laser jet, not ink-jet. Anyway, tested and copied personal videos from Verbatim DVD+R and had no problem. Next time, I better watch the + and the -.Downside was that I ordered an ink jet type, not the ordinary type.

There's not much to say...Good Printable DVD's. The only con is the max burn rate is only 8X, not 16X. Otherwise, no coasters out of the 100 I used.

I was introduced to this product at the B&H New York Store. The quality of the printed label is excellent. Occasionally I make a coaster (About 1 in 10). I don't know if this problem is with the disks or with my 6 year old burner. I mail DVDs to friends around the country, and everyone thinks they are great. I don't know of another product that is Hub printable.
