Comments about Ambient Recording QuickLok Quick Release Microphone Mount:

Works quickly to mount your blimp on a stand or at the end of a pole without any added noise. Solid build, but light. The only thing I am not sure about is the grub screw. It bites into the threads on the pole a bit. Be careful not to over tighten.

Comments about Ambient Recording QuickLok Quick Release Microphone Mount:

Doesn't matter if you're a beginner or a pro, if you don't have this quick release yet, get it now! The release screws onto the threaded top of your boom. The small tip screw into your shock mount. I highly recommend using locktite on the threads to prevent any chance of slipping. Like an air pressure hose, the tip drops into the release and is secure and strong.
I have this mounted to my Rode pole and the tip attached to a gigantic blimp with 816t mic and it's solid. Can't believe I went for so many years without it.

Comments about Ambient Recording QuickLok Quick Release Microphone Mount:

This is an essential tool any professional soundies should have in their kits. I bought two of these packs because I have multiple booms and multiple pistol grips, and I can hardly believe how easy its made switching mics. It completely eliminates the need to spend those few tedious seconds unscrewing the thread and then rescrewing a new pole. The fit is solid, and it locks securely into place. And the product is remarkably cheap for the quality you get from it ^_^

Comments about Ambient Recording QuickLok Quick Release Microphone Mount:

to facilitate quick mic changes during a shoot, these are indispensible. very well made and thoughtful design. not inexpensive, but very worth the price. i have installed them on both of my boom poles and they work flawlessly. once you have the male component inserted and locked into place, it is very secure. no wobble or extraneous sounds. it's important, though, to make sure you tighten the small allen screw under the collet to ensure that your mic doesn't go spinning around on you. great product from a top notch company.
