Matthews Cucoloris - 24x36" - Wood

The Cucoloris is used to create shadow patterns on backgrounds or subjects. A flatly lit wall can be broken up into interesting pools of light and shadow. Lighting directors frequently use them to simulate sunlight filtering through trees.

The Wood "cookie" creates a distinctive pattern. The pattern itself depends on the distance of the light source and the distance to the background.

Comments about Matthews Cucoloris - 24x36" - Wood:

I generally like Matthews products, but I found this cookie to be very flimsy. It is made of a thin plywood that bends way too easily. In fact, I can't even prop it up against a wall for fear of it bending. I am also not satisfied with the pattern. It's not dense enough and I've had trouble getting a usable effect(I've tried many combinations of distance and light placement). I seriously considered returning the item, but figured I'd keep it and just use the connecting bracket on a cookie I create myself.
