This tripod will be used with digital still cameras up to about 2 pounds. It is very easy to set up and is very stable under that load. I am using it with the legs fully extended for the most part and in many cases, the elevator extended also. Although the head is mostly plastic and doesn't appear to have ball bearing panning, it is very smooth. All of the locks in the head seem to require an extra turn but they lock solidly.

I've never had a quick release plate before but it's a very valuable and time saving feature. Since the legs are not round, there's no twisting. The leg locks are positive and I've seen no slippage.

Just a peice of outhouse leftovers. It's made of plastic that will break in a month.Every camera kit I've ever purchased has come with a much more quality "free" tripod than this.It should be illegal to manufacture such a poor product. It's a waste of shipping, time and space.I wish nothing but the failure for the people who designed this tripod. The creank handle bangs abainst the legs and you have to pull it out "the crank handle" to even get it to work.Better off just leaving the crank out all together. You have to pull it out to get it to work and then it just bangs angainst the legs. This product should not exist.

My sister asked me to film my neice's wedding at the church ceremony. I agreed since I just purchased a sweet digital handycam. I wanted it to come out professional looking so I invested in this P920 Pinnacle Tripod. Having never used a tripod with a digital recorder before I was a novice. [...] Now I'm filming steady sports shots of my kids with ease. What did I do without it?!!!!

I am using it with the legs fully extended for the most part and in many cases, the elevator extended also. Although the head is mostly plastic and doesn't appear to have ball bearing panning, it is very smooth. All of the locks in the head seem to require an extra turn but they lock solidly.

Very lightweight and easy to adjust. The handle also makes it easier to carry especially if you have your hands full. I also like the height as I am 5' 11". It is not as sturdy as I hoped it would be, but, for my use, it is okay. I would recommend to a novice photographer as I am.

Locking clips on legs grasp well with no slippage. The pan and tilt head is functional and smooth, and although not as versatile as a ball-head, this unit is considerably less expensive. Used primarily with a 28-135mm zoom lens, a 75-300mm zoom and shorter lenses, the unit proved stable and secure. If you need a good cost-effective tripod you can't beat the price. If you need a tripod for heavy use or for long lenses, get ready to shell out some serious cash.
