Comments about Smith-Victor Gemini 2600 Lightweight Tripod with 2-Way Head:
[...]Anyway, as soon as I opened it I knew I made a good purchase. The tripod is quite cheap, more then I wanted to spent, but the quality of this product is fantastic. Not being quite as tall as my other tripod (about 5FT 11"), the smooth pan is fluid and makes for great pan shots. Everything locks up nice and tight. The piece you attach to your camera can be a little difficult. The little screw thing takes a while to get used to because it's so small. No biggie. If you want a sturdy tripod that has smooth pan, great features, and doesn't feel "cheap", get this!!

Comments about Smith-Victor Gemini 2600 Lightweight Tripod with 2-Way Head:
Overall this tripod has a nice feel- the legs feel sturdyand lock in place securely. The tripod is fairly tall andall the functions other than those below work perfectly.
Expertise: Semi-Pro Videographer
Problems Encountered: The problem with this tripod is the head. It felt reallygood at first, until I noticed an unusual flaw. If you panto the left and back to the right, it's fine- but if you panto the left again, the head becomes very loose for about aninch around the circumference. You can pan through the flawand it will work. I tried repeating the pattern abovedifferent ways and on different areas of the tripod, allwith similar results.
