The Nagler Type 6 2.5mm is the ultimate in wide angle eyepiece design, with an 82° apparent viewing field that will make you feel as if you're swimming in the view, unaware of your surroundings. It delivers the pinnacle viewing experience for those that deem the view more important than all other factors, and the 2.5mm Nagler Type 6 does so without massive size. The Nagler Type 6 formula is based on the original Nagler design, but squeezes a bit more contrast, eye relief and true field out of the focal length.

Comments about Tele Vue Nagler Type 6 2.5mm Wide Angle Eyepiece (1.25"):
Looking at the planets through an Orion XT8 this eyepiece is just too much power... even the 3.5mm version is pushing it. The net result is a dark and muddy image. Better to back off a bit to a lower power eyepiece.
The eyepiece may work well for scopes of greater light collecting ability (or finer quality)... but definitely not an XT8.
