I needed the Anton Bauer power cord to install an Ikan VK7 LCD external monitor on our church's three Panasonic P2HD cameras. When I discovered each cord cost approx [$], it killed the idea instantly.Further searching allowed me to find this power tap connector kit on B&H. Glad I did! The connectors fit and worked great. If you're handy with a soldering iron, forget the full cord and create your own cable with this connector kit. Yes, they're still pretty pricey, but that's what you get on low demand, name brand components.Incidently, kudos to B&H. After I had a little problem with one of the connectors I had ordered (hence 4 out of 5 stars), B&H's customer service came through with flying colors, as always!!

I needed to customise a cable for a Hyperdeck Shuttle portable video field recorder and using this genuine AB connector enabled me to make one with the right length and connectors.

I use the P-tap kit to power up both my Ruige 7" on camera monitor as well as my Ki Pro Mini
Its easy to solder, a bit trickier if you are mounting a double set of cables in it, but when I did, it was room for both of them.
I can't find anything bad to say about it.

I was able to distribute battery power to an external Lectrosonics slot receiver mounted on my Sony EX1 rig with the PowerTap adapter. I also use Zacuto camera support to be able to use Anton Bauer batteries with the EX1. I'm able to power the camera all day on a Hytron.

Gets 4 stars because of the cost. It's just a small piece of plastic. And they know we need it so they charge us for it. But it works, and it's a lot cheaper to make your own cables with these than to pay the inflated prices for pre-made varieties.

The cheapest/easiest way to power your firestore or on camera light. You solder this guy on and plug it into the power tap and you have 14 volts.
