This is the perfect case to get my gear to the shoot. Most of my travel is via car, but I also fly on airlines for some shoots. With this case, I can store my 2 Nikon D300s, with lenses attached. One lens is a 17-55 2.8 and the other is a 70-200 2.8. I also store the flash (SB-800) in there as well.
The foam is perforated so you can make the perfect size cut outs without a knife. I used spray adhesive once I was done between the 2 layers to help keep everything snug and together.
Although its a little heavy with all that gear, combined with the weight of the Pelican, it does have wheels and a handle, which offsets that concern. Plus the guarantee to fit in carry on containers in airliners - you can't beat it.

Check your airline carry on limits.
This is a great case but for many airlines it's not carry-on approved. It's weight is 6.17kg and eg: Qantas carry-on limit is 7kg. So a packed case is overweight.

Comments about Pelican 1510 Carry On Case with Foam Set (Black):
My camera and lenses are safe no matter if I am fishing in Canada, relaxing in Jamaica, or flying to the Middle East. I have not come across any other product that Can do the job as well as Pelican's cases. My camera is protected from moisture, dust, and all the elements, as well as damage from rough handling or dropping. It is heavy, but I have not seen a product that is lighter and can do the job as well.

Bought this for a C300. It fits very tight with a Manfrotto quick release plate attached to the camera. I was able to custom fit the camera (with a 24-70mm lens attached), the top handle, monitor, extra battery, CF card, charger, cables and caps, and a 70-200mm f/4.

Comments about Pelican 1510 Carry On Case with Foam Set (Black):
When once editing video was a task that included a free iron tether to a dim room, faster laptops now mean most medium-heavy work can be taken with you — provided that you're willing to risk your expensive computer and travel-appropriate RAID drive. This was my conundrum; I had the freedom to roam, but without the confidence that I could keep my golden-egg-laying-geese safe.
The dimensions of the 1510 carry-on case fit within most airlines' carry-on limits, so I don't need to worry about the case being mishandled or broken into out of sight. The legendarily well-built case holds up like a tank, and even with the loads of foam inside there is plenty of room for my 15" mac, dual-drive external HD, and cables in the bottom compartment that I made. No complaints. Thanks for giving me the flexibility to take my work on the road with confidence.

Comments about Pelican 1510 Carry On Case with Foam Set (Black):
Once I figure out exactly which parts of my camera/video/audio gear to travel with, I'll have the fun of tetrising it all into the foam in the most convenient and most protective way possible. This case is not as big as my collection is, so I'll have to edit and pack carefully to make it work.
It's good that the foam comes in multiple layers – that will make it much easier to work with.
Maybe not so good that the case arrived so nicely protected, shiny and scratch-free. I'll sure hate to see it get its first scratches... though I guess that'll just be evidence I was out in the world using my gear and having fun, right? In any case, I hope my kids find something good to do with it when I'm six feet under, 'cause this thing will probably outlive me!

Learned about this case from the pro vendors I rent HDSLRs from, they put the whole kit in a 1510, usually the one with the dividers. I decided to save a few bucks and go with the pluck foam which is a little tricky to work with but overall for keeping my own DSLR and accessories safe from the elements in a wheel-able hardshell case that travels on planes well there's nothing better than the 1510 size
