Very good stand. Base doubles as a junior receiver. I purchased this stand for shooting on location out of state. I also purchased a case that was 42 inches long, hoping that the stand would fit after removing the base. Unfortunately, the riser section of the stand when completely collapsed is actually 45 3/8 inches long. So it will not fit in my case. However, it is still a very well made stand, and I will probably purchase another one, and find a different shipping solution.

probably best stand I have.I am realy happy with it and I am planing to purchase 3 more. I agree with those who claims that matthews stands number one in the world!! Yes, it is heavy, but because of this its very stable
