Comments about Tamron SP 90mm f/2.8 Di Macro Autofocus Lens for Sony Alpha & Minolta Maxxum SLR:
Excellent lens for the price. If you are going to buy a macro, this is the one you should buy. The 90mm enables you to get close without the need of a flash. The images are very sharp and I can't wait to use this more in the spring taking pictures of flowers and stuff.

My first real macro lens and it's a winner. I'm a beekeeper so it is natural to want to shoot bees. My first attempt was OK but my second produced a winner in my eyes. Using this lens on a Sony a77.

This lens is very slow to focus and tends to hunt a lot. When it does get on the pictures are great though.

Comments about Tamron SP 90mm f/2.8 Di Macro Autofocus Lens for Sony Alpha & Minolta Maxxum SLR:
Very sharp Macro lens. Fast and very bright. Good all around medium telephoto. Pollycarbonate construction is a plus for light weight, but it *is* plastic. Build is OK, but not quite up to pro-quality. But the output is as good as any lens at any price.

Comments about Tamron SP 90mm f/2.8 Di Macro Autofocus Lens for Sony Alpha & Minolta Maxxum SLR:
Excellent lens. Sharp, great color. Not bad AF considering it's a Macro lens. I've used it for Macro's and portraits and anything else that I can use a 90mm for. Well worth the money. Plastic construction but I've never had a problem with durability, in the 3yrs I've owned it it has always been reliable, and I use it alot. I can't really find any con to mention.

Comments about Tamron SP 90mm f/2.8 Di Macro Autofocus Lens for Sony Alpha & Minolta Maxxum SLR:
I used this in Portraiture connected to a Sony a850 and had jaw dropping results instantly. The 90mm is the perfect depth of field effect compared to 105 or 150. And sharpness, off the charts! Women models older than 20 will hate this lens. And thank you B&H for saying that you will deliver on February 20th which I didn't think you realized was a holiday and sure enough, it came that day. Great experience all around.

Comments about Tamron SP 90mm f/2.8 Di Macro Autofocus Lens for Sony Alpha & Minolta Maxxum SLR:
I did some research when I purchased this lens, and looked at the images that people were getting. For me it was a bit of an investment and I wanted it to live up to what it was advertised to do. It was sent well packaged and quick... that day I tied it out! Very Happy with this product, it produces a fine crisp image in Macro or as a nice medium telephoto... it's fast and one of the best lens I own. Would recomend this to anyone that cares about the image quality they get. Also color saturation seems to be inhanced, a nice plus! Great for studio work as well, love it!

Comments about Tamron SP 90mm f/2.8 Di Macro Autofocus Lens for Sony Alpha & Minolta Maxxum SLR:
Very happy I looked around a bit before I made a choice. For me it was a costly investment, and I hate to make a mistake. BUT, VERY happy with this lens. I wanted it for the Macro it offers, but it is amazing in the general optic quality in all applications. Some say it focuses slow, however for studio work it seems very good, and for macro you will use manual anyway. It's a must for your lens collection.
