I bought two of these to use with Canon speedlites in Interfit Strobie XS brackets, and I'm really happy with them. They are good quality, easy to use, and provide very nice diffused light. Great value.

A friend gave me a Photonics Hyundae HL 1000 continuous light. I've never owned a softbox and this one is my first. I bought this in particular because it is heat resistance. The Photonics Hyndae HL 1000 gets very hot. I've actually melted a few plastic bags to use as a color filter.
This product does not come with any instructions. The ring adapter I also bought had no instruction. I had to look online to figure which slot to put the softbox in. It's scary trying to put the softbox together for the first time, because I thought I was going to permanantly bend the rods. But once I put it together the first time, it's easy from then on. I don't mind taking it apart and putting it back together if I was ever on he move. I also like the handy portable bag it comes with.
The light is nicely diffuse and I am satify with it all. Even with a 1000 watts continuous light for 30-45 min. the softbox didn't explode.
If you use the Interfit ADAPTER RING f/BOWENS - INARBO Mfr # ASA1000, this softbox uses the "G" slots (G1, G2, G3, G4).

Don't let price fool you. This is a great softbox for both hot lights and studio flash. The inside features a highly reflective finish and the outside is a matte black finish that seems to resist scuffing. Vent flaps on the sides allow heat to escape and a nice feature of this is a velco latch that allows you to roll the flaps back instead of having to pin them open with clothespins. Each steel rod is contained inside a pocket that allows the entire softbox to collapse without removing the rods. Each rod also have a velcro pocket that can be opened to allow the rods to slip on the softbox more easily.
As far as how easy it is to setup, on our last photo shoot, I was able to assemble two of these softboxes (from folded to baffles installed) within about a minute.
The softboxes come with an inner and outer baffle as well as a nice case to store the entire kit in.
My only disappointment was that Interfit does not include assembly instructions with their softboxes. You can easily download them from the interfit website though. If you need to know how to assemble them, the assembly instructions for this softbox are as follows: G1,G3,G2,G4.

Good softbox overall. Make sure to buy the Interfit adapter ring (separately) or it will not fit anything.

Comments about Interfit Pro-Range Softbox - 24x34":
I was supprised at the quality and construction of this softbox, especially that it cost less than $90. I have allways been using umbrellas, however for this particular modeling job I wanted to create a strong catchlight in the models eyes.
The softbox distributes light evenly from corner to corner, and that's not just an opinion, I actually ran a spot meter over it and found it to be very consistant(With the internal baffle).
The Interfit Paterson Adapter Ring for Elinchrom Heads that I purchased with this item would not attach properly. I found that it was made of a metal that was slightly thinner than the Elinchrom genuine products. It would not clip in and stay in. I placed a 6 inch strip of Gaffa tape over it, to give it some thickness, and now it fits tighter than anything else I own.
It assembles quickly, however I would not want to be pulling it apart for location work.
I will be purchasing a larger one shortly.
Thanks B&H!!
