One of the oldest and still most popular means of lighting a set is by taking a reflective surface and redirecting sunlight or artificial light exactly where it is needed.

The "hard" side of the reflector will reflect the light almost exactly as it hits the board, while the "soft" side will soften the light as it redirects it.

This 24" x 24" (61x61cm) reflector also has a yoke attached which terminates in a 5/8" receiver for mounting on a Baby Stand.

The "soft" side has a stippled silver material, while the "hard" side has the shiny silver paper glued to it.

Size 24" x 24" (61x61cm)
Hard Side Surface Stippled silver material
Soft Side Surface Shiny silver paper
Weight 6 lbs. (2.7kg)

Comments about Matthews Reflector - 24x24" - Silver:

Lightweight but strong. Very skinny so fits on the cart where ever their is a gap. The tie down bolt is a bit rink dink. They need to swap that out wfor something that you can actually get a grip on and tighten.

Comments about Matthews Reflector - 24x24" - Silver:

Yes is a very good reflector at an extremely high price. Matthews gear is expensive, we know that, but I thing they went to far. My perceive value of this reflector is way much lower than I expected for what I paid for.

It performs well, it should have other kind of screws system to secure the reflector and the yolk.

Comments about Matthews Reflector - 24x24" - Silver:

Have always wanted one of these, really wanted the 40x40 [...] This 24" panel packs plenty of punch though! Just did a theatrical headshot session with nothing but natural light in my studio using this, unbelievable how many more options I have now. Intense, even, directional light that you have complete control over... what else do you need? The ONLY bummer about it is the cheap little thumb screw that connects the base of the yoke to your stand. You just can't tighten it enough with your bare fingers to keep it from twisting in the wind... I'm going to replace the screw with something that gives me more leverage - or use pliers to wrench it on tight.
