I love gear that is both portable and functional! The RoadRags Silver Lame is a great piece of gear to use as a bounce on a video shoot. It can easily light one talent shoots. It's a breeze to setup, easy to transport and a dream to store. After leaving my last production position and having to work out of my home studio now, storage is at a premium. So anything that works well on location but has a low footprint to store is a huge plus for me. I keep all of my RoadRags frames, flags, scrims and bounces in a KATA Palms-2 case with all my other grip gear, dimmers and light control items. All my lights and stingers are in a KATA Maze-4 "coffin." RoadRags cost a little more up front, but you'll never have to pay expensive round trip shipping to have your flags, scrims and silks repaired at the factory. Because these are so lightweight you get additional savings by not needing as many sandbags to weight down your stands. Biggest advantage of the RoadRags system to me is I can use my frames for any variety of flags, scrims, bounces, silks as needed on location. If you're really tight on space take a look at the RoadRags 18 X24" components. Personally I find the the 24 X 36" more practical for the type of productions I'm shooting.

This really is an indispensable addition to the Road-Rags kit - it really should have been included.
It's an expensive addition but makes adding a quick bit of fill or eye sparkle to an interview/headshot so easy - bright white one side, silver the other

I began using Matthew's products, when I realized just how influential their brand is within the film production industry, and for good reason. Matthew's products, including the RoadRag and RoadFlag, are second to none in overall premium quality, and will last many years under heavy use. [@]The quality of their fabric is wonderful and the silver and gold lame material works beautifully with portraiture and figure studies of delicate skin tone transitions; it won't over power, but it will add that KISS of light needed to bring out that glow and definition. Buy quality and you won't be sorry, especially with lighting tools. You won't wear out this item, and you'll be pleased when compared to much inferior products that seem a better price, but simply don't last or perform as well. Also, I must mention that Matthew's stands, grips, Etc. are the industry standard for performance and longevity. Hope my comments help! - Mark
