This inexpensive little accessory is a must have item if you want to use your binoculars for viewing and searching for game or Stars / planets etc in the night sky.
Simply attach the adapter to your tripod, either by using the quick-attach tapered lug or the std tripod screw, screw the adapter onto your binoculars and you have hands free holding for rock steady fatigue free viewing.
Many binoculars have a socket for the 1/4 inch diameter x 20 TPI thread on the front end of the hinge between the two cylinders. You might not have even noticed or know about it as it usually comes from the manufacturer plugged with a plastic/metal threaded cap. Check to see if yours have the threaded hole, if they do you are in business.
Find yourself a comfortable seat in your selected viewing area, adjust the tripod legs and swivel assembly on top of the tripod for comfortable viewing, and you can watch / search for hours.
See fine detail that that slight shaking of hand holding your binoculars forbids. For example you can see the 4 moons of Jupiter through a rock steady 7x magnification binocular. Try looking at Jupiter hand holding your binocular then attach it to your tripod.
You will be amazed!

I hiked up High Mountain to view the New York skyline.I attached it to my Impact mono pod and then to my Bushnell legend 10x42 binoculars, due to the tight fit, I could not get the right Interpupillary Distance Adjustment. I took them off the mono pod and laid them on the top , and it worked fine.

Comments about Bushnell Tripod Adapter (for Binoculars with a 1/4"-20 Threaded Tripod Socket):
This adapter threads into the socket that is standard on most binoculars, including the two I have. Typically the socket is covered with a plastic insert. The other end gets screwed down on a tripod, in my case, using the bolt in the dovetail plate on the tripod. The connection is simple and solid enough to steady 10x binoculars for viewing static objects. The arrangement is poor (though usable) for stargazing, since you have to be directly under the tripod to look through the binoculars, and the tripod head itself tangles with the legs.
