My first real backdrop. I recently used this for several portraits. I set up at 3 assisted living centers, & a church womens event. I used it for groups & single person shots. It's very long, so I can have them stand on it a distance away from the backgroud & I can get back far also and not see any floor. It's a bit lighter than in the listing image, but better. Small areas of subtle variations of white to light gray, bluish gray. It's great! I feel I got a good deal! Only wish it was wider. I just wad it up and put it in the handy matching bag, so I get random wrinkles instead of fold lines. See it:[@]

good quality, but wrinkles easily
It looks great as a backdrop, but you need a steamer to get the wrinkles out.

Comments about Backdrop Alley Muslin Background (10 x 24', Slate Gray):
You can't beat the size for the money. The slight blue cast is easily corrected with a Lee filter on your lights to balance everything out. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it. And I like the bag that comes with it, so I quickly know which background I'm grabbing.

I'VE BEEN USING A GREEN SCREEN TO DO MY EVENT PHOTOS BUT BECAUSE OF SPEED (TRYING NOT TO LOSE IMPATIENCE CUSTOMERS) I GOT THIS BACK DROP, IT MAKES FOR A NICE BACKGROUND. NICE LITTLE BAG TO STUFF IT IN, WHICH LOOKS JUST LIKE THE BACKDROP. (THAT WILL HELP KNOWING WHAT COLOR I HAVE WITH ME) LOOKING TO GET A FEW MORE OTHER COLORS THEY HAVE. THE LENGTH IS A BIT LONG BUT I BUNCH IT UP UNDER THE STAND TO GIVE ME A BUFFER ZONE FOR THOSE THAT DRAG THEIR FEET AND PULL DOWN MY STAND.

Very happy with the background. Nice neutral color with just enough texture to make images interesting. I have used the background to do full length prom photo and studio portraits. It works well with a gel backlight to add color.
Light weight, nice carry bag and doesn't need ironing.

I use this muslin for portraits and some stock photography. It is great because it is very versatile. You can use it for several different occasions, plus it comes with a bag to carry it in. If you don't already have a stand for it, I would suggest buying one to go with it.

This is my first purchase of a Backdrop-Alley product. I was surprised that the background came as described and pictured.
The colour is "slate gray." It is some sort of gray, and made to be mottled.
The material is not opaque. My primary background is an opaque black. I therefore use 4 pony clamps to put this one up right over the black one. Quite easy. It has brass grommet holes along the top for hooks, and also a rod pocket for a background crossbar.

Comments about Backdrop Alley Muslin Background (10 x 24', Slate Gray):
This is a great drop for family portraits and full body shots. I use this drop for all my seniors and the results are profitable. I own the black and the tie-dye white/black drop as well. I will only use Backdrop-Alley drops. The quality is solid and the price it far better than many competitors. All of the drops I own are the 10x24 but the avg. studio shouldn't need anything bigger than the 10x15. These drops are heavy too. That is a bi-product of the great quality. Guess if you want light and flimsy, paper drops are where you need to look. Great drops at a great price.
