Ikelite O-Ring for Large Ikelite SLR Housings
This Ikelite o-ring is for large Ikelite SLR housings. The o-ring resembling a thick rubber band is designed to establish a watertight seal when going underwater.
Manufactured to precision tolerances required to hold a pressure seal on your housing and made of elastomeric material, it provides the means by which a watertight seal is formed.

I always travel with at least two (still new in the bag) spares. I also use old ones for travel only. Most importantly, always use the ikelite lubrication and inspect o-rings carefully.

If you have a housing for your camera you need to have spare O rings. While O rings are fairly robust, it is quite easy to damage one. Having one or more spares means that if you discover the O ring has a problem when you are putting your rig together you can quickly switch to the spare and not have to miss out on using the housing.
