The MiniView Micro PS/2 2-Port KVM Switch with Built-in Cable allows up to two PCs or Macs to share one console. IOGEAR makes it easy to control all attached peripherals with a single keyboard, monitor and mouse. This IOGEAR Micro KVM switch makes it even better by supporting plug-n-play monitors and a 32-bit color at resolutions up to 1920 x 1440.
The MiniView Micro is designed with multi-platform support and features built-in 6-foot cables. Support is provided for Microsoft Intellimouse, Logitech FirstMouse+, MouseMan+ and most PS/2 mice. I use 1 tower just for accessing the Internet, and the other for personal and business use. This allows me to use one monitor/mouse/monitor to switch between the two. While one internet computer is busy downloading, the other in doing business number crunching as an example. Another benefit is, if one computer fails, I'm still up and running with the other while the failed one is being fixed. Switches is a breeze. I keep another KVM for backup and with my computer service tools. I can work on two computers at the same time. Even in 2012, PS2 KVM's are a blessing and this one is definitely the biggest dependable bang for the buck. I also have 2 of the USB versions. Another plus is two separate monitors and just switch the keyboard and mouse between the two. Thanks IOGear.

I bought this product to share a monitor between a PC and a security DVR.
Pros:
-It is very simple to use and it works very well for how it was intended.
Cons:
-It requires a keyboard to switch between the monitors (striking Scroll Lock twice)
-It only has PS/2 connections which are becoming outdates however it clearly is intended for PS/2 connections.

I hooked this baby up to my work laptop docking station and my personal desktop machine. Now, I can quickly jump back and forth between the two machines and use the same keyboard, mouse and monitor. Only downside on this is that it only has PS2, so if you have a USB device, you'll need to pick up a USB to PS2 converter. For the price, though, I'm okay with that.
