The sleeve broke off on a hot shoe adapter. Maybe I did use too much force, but I didn't expect it to break off.

Otherwise, the cord on the cable and the 1/4" mono plug seemed fine.

I had to replace my snyc cord because it wouldn't stay connected to the camera. This Norman sync cord solved the problem perfectly. The PC connection is very tight and never gets pulled off the camera. Money well spent.

Comments about Norman 812451 Sync Cable - 15' Straight Male PC to Phono 1/4" Male:

Apparently sync cables are not meant to last. I have been through many over the years. They usually develop an electrical open in the cable, usually close to the camera end. They function off and on for a while, then quit all together. As a result, I always have two cables with me; the one I am using and a back up.

So, I have been on a quest to find a good cable, giving up the hope that one will last for a very long time.

The Norman cable has lasted me the longest. I think I got a couple of years out of this one. That, in the world of sync cables, is great. I just bought a spare, and I hope they will keep lasting as long as the first. If I have to buy one every couple of years, that's not too bad.

My old cable for my Dynalite kit shorted out not long after I bought my kit. I bought this to replace the shorted cable on short notice before a shoot. It has been completely compatable with my lighting kit, it's like I never had to replace the original.
it does miss sync on a few occassions but overall works just as well if not better than expected.

This cord is just the perfect length to sync my camera to soffbox making it so I can move freely around my subject. It securely attatches to my camera. It was perfectly priced and arrived within 7 days. I would definately purchase this item again.
