Comments about Audio-Technica MB3K Handheld Vocal Microphone:

I've had mine for 5 years now and it still looks new. I've used it both for live and for studio recordings and it has been around the world with me. It's a shame it was discontinued as it has certainly been a very good investment for me. I love it

Comments about Audio-Technica MB3K Handheld Vocal Microphone:

I got this mic for vocals (jazz, pop, blues).Pluses:Price, price, price! The ratio of quality to price is great here. I was sceptical at first, but once I tested the mic at B&H, I knew that was the one I was gonna get. Really, for this price it's a great deal. That's why I gave 5 stars. It's a decent product, decent quality. I think that was money well spent. The only drawback I could think of is the sensitivity, but you can manage that by correct handling of the mic. And again, you pay less than $50 so you can't really expect qulity of a $200 gear.[...]

Comments about Audio-Technica MB3K Handheld Vocal Microphone:

We work with students and bought these mics because they are inexpensive compared to the sturdy metal handhelds we've owned for decades. Audio-Technica has a similar mic that we bought accidently that is really for instruments, so take care when ordering.

What happens with the metal handhelds is they lose "round" when students drop them and you can't put in the XLR. (This has NEVER happened with adult usage--it's a kid thing.) Our video teacher complains because this model has an "on/off" switch which the kids sometimes forget to turn on, but the student camera operator should be wearing headsets.
