You should use cables that are long enough generally but when you need a coupler, one that locks is a bonus. The lock is only on one side though but that still beats no lock at all.

I had a show where I needed a couple 50ft speaker runs. I added these to a couple 25ft's and was in buisness.
The lock mechanism is a little weird, seems redundant considering speakons are locking connectors.

For my new rack of equipment I wanted light weight and fast set up and teardown. I used a sidemount flanged receptical for power and a 4way input on the other side of the rack . There are 9 LED in front to turn each unit on/off
By using the shortes cords for AC and Audio I still
needed to use a short speaker cord to go out thru the 6" rear door. I use a 3' cord and the Neutric coupler,
Making everything light and easy. Great for that extra
Length. Since they are made buy Neutric the are TOPS

This is a great, high quality coupler. We use these for an outside loudspeaker setup for football games. When other suppliers didn't have anyting in stock, B&H had a higher quality product, in stock, and less expensive.

I NEEDED TO EXTEND A SPEAKON CABLE, BUT COULD NOT FIND ONE ANYWHERE IN TOWN. SOME MUSIC STORES CLAIMED THEY WERE NOT EVEN MANUFACTURED, OTHERS SAID YOU WOULD LOOSE TOO MUCH BY EXTENDING THE CABLE. THAT IS ABSOLUTELY WRONG, WITH 2 IDENTICAL CABLES, THERE IS NO IMPEDANCE MISMATCH, SO NO LOSE. THIS ADAPTER WAS HARD TO FIND , AND B & H IS WHERE IT WAS THE LEAST EXPENSIVE AS WELL. GOOD JOB KEEP IT UP!!!!!
