Product Highlights
  • With Shock-Pop Shock Mount & Windscreen

The Blue Baby Bottle condenser microphone delivers professional standard craftsmanship and sonic performance for the professional and project studio recording engineer. With a profile similar to the Blue Bottle microphone, the Baby Bottle features a single-membrane large-diaphragm capsule mounted in a "lollipop" style enclosure for enhanced sensitivity. The solid-state, Class-A output electronics result in extremely quiet self-noise and very high audio output.

The Baby Bottle is a single pattern microphone featuring a cardioid polar pattern. The cardioid pattern is effective in minimizing noise and ambiance at the off-axis sections of the capsule, making it ideal for use near additional instruments, vocalists or monitor speakers. The wide frequency response features a small rise in the upper mid-range frequencies, enhancing signal presence and intelligibility. With a low noise floor and high signal response, the Baby Bottle is more than capable of accurately capturing vocals, stringed instruments, guitars, piano and more.

i use this mic for hip hop vocals.....i run it into my grace designs m101 preamp, then into my propellerhead balance interface....the sound it clean and clear, with a crisp and suttle sound...i previously owned the rode NT1A and loved the sound of that mic...but after using the baby bottle, which only cost a [$] more, im BLOWN AWAY....its night and day....great job blue, the most bang for the buck by far

Comments about Blue Baby Bottle - Condenser Studio Microphone:

I use it primarily for mic'ing electric guitar speaker cabinets. I have owned two previous Blue microphones, and the Baby Bottle is a significant step up for me. Having used the Spark just prior to this, the Baby Bottle is a step forward in quality. Smooth overall response, not brittle or ice-picky at all. A very mellow, natural sounding microphone.

It comes in the box with a pretty robust shock mount, and (unfortunately) a fairly useless pop filter. The pop filter is better than nothing, but is small, sits too close to the mic, and is finicky to get mounted right.

That is my only real complaint with the mic - the pop filter. Being that I use it primarily for guitar cabs, I don't need the pop filter anyway.

Comments about Blue Baby Bottle - Condenser Studio Microphone:

I've used a couple different Blue mics and several different condencer mics and I love this mic. Not only for the cheap price but I like it better than the $1200 Blue that i used before it. It's got a much thicker tone to it and doesnt "pop" as much on the harsh vocal "T" and "SSS" sounds. GREAT mic.

Comments about Blue Baby Bottle - Condenser Studio Microphone:

This is a great mic. I have used it in acoustic guitars, vocals, you name it. Is has a great design and quality parts. Great bottom and mid frequency pickup from a guitar. The shock mount is a bit tricky. I find is just a little bit dark but just a little bit. I still highly recommend this mic Blue makes great products and B&H have the best price out there.

Comments about Blue Baby Bottle - Condenser Studio Microphone:

I've used this mic for purely vocal recording, and i am very impressed with the sound quality and representation of my voice. It gives me some great screaming highs, and nice breathy lows. The best part is the price tag, nothing ive seen before beats it, and ive been recording for around 6 years and professionally the last couple.
There isnt alot of extras on this guy, but i wasnt expecting it with the lower price, so that means no pads or cutoffs, but that was fine for my vocals. Also i heard that is has its own EQ the is more tuned towards human voice recording, now idk if this is true, but it wouldnt surprise me, because without anything it sounds pretty good.
Bottom Line, good mic at a good price.

Comments about Blue Baby Bottle - Condenser Studio Microphone:

This is a fantastic value! I have used the Blue Mouse microphones in the studio, and was extremely impressed with the sound and constuction. I needed something a little less expensive for my home studio, and when I saw this one I decided to go for it, and I don't regret it a bit! I use it for vocals and acostic guitar with great results. High output, warm sound (though a little mid-rangey), beautiful construction. Amazing mic for the money
