The three-section Manfrotto 196AB-3 Articulated Arm supports 2.2 lbs @ full extension. Extra versatility is also given by the sliding extension system which allows for easier positioning of lighting fixtures even in awkward and tight spaces.
Maximum Length is 33.5 inches, and the bottom 5/8" spigot (compatible with the optional Superclamp), also has a 1/4" thread.

I bought a couple of these for mounting Canon 580EX II and 550EX speedlites; the single arm handles the weight with no issue at all; the three sections are much more useful, IMO, than the two section, spend the extra for this one... you don't need the double-arm for the weight of a speedlite alone.

Well made and locks down tight. Either end drops into a super clamp leaving you with the choice of either 3/8" or 1/4" female connection on the end you're going to use.

These arms are a god sent! They can be used from holding a reflector, to holding a small light.. to holding a product still.. like a spoon.. or anything you couldw think of really! It's like having an assistant that wouldn't complain!
