This Chimera Quick Release Speed Ring allows mounting of Chimera, or almost any other brand rectangular softbox to a Speedotron 202VF flash head.
The Quick Release Series releases the tension of the wands in the frame of your softbox, allowing it to collapse easily for breakdown, or for moving on quickly to the next setup without disassembling the box.
Note! To use this speedring, please remove the red collar on the 102 VF head

I use quick release style speed rings for both Dynalite and Speedotron and will always go this route with future speed rings. Large softboxes and strip banks that are almost impossible to break down without excessive force come apart easily when you release the tension tabs -- this has saved a lot of frustration, effort and time on location. Also great for temporarily collapsing the softbox when moving from room to room or between doorways or tight spaces -- you just snap it back into place to put the box back up. A great product from Chimera, highly recommended and worth the additional cost.
